Many models compatible with 2198597 are equipped with W10757851 ice maker keep an eye on boards which monitor the ice level and can shut off the ice maker if faulty. For a complete repair, you may want to replace the ice maker in addition to the keep an eye on board, sold one by one. It is very important remove the bottom mounting bracket from your old ice maker and attach it to the new one.
It is very important disconnect your appliance from the power and water supply before servicing. If your new ice maker is not making ice the freezer temperature may be too high, your water filter may be clogged, your thermostat may be defective, or you might have inadequate water pressure.
