True success for Kathy is giving back – and remembering the organizations and individuals who had supported her at first. As a result of this, Kathy makes giving a part of the corporate strategy, creating products that not only look good, but do good in our Benefit collection – which have raised over a quarter million dollars for more than a few organizations. In 2018 we celebrated the official formation of Kathy’s Circle of Friends as a 501c non-profit organization, providing social opportunities through themed events for adults with varying levels of abilities – run by our employees who volunteer their time. We also partnered with the Friendship Heart Gallery to create a choice of beautiful artwork created by the artists at the gallery with autism and disabilities so that you could give a contribution to the success of the gallery and showcase the improbable work by the artists. These partnerships have really illustrated how Primitives by Kathy combines a passion for creativity with a culture of caring.
